  1. Ärztin

Guten Tag, Frau Ilic. Was führt Sie zu mir?

Good day, Ms. Ilic. What brings you to me?

  2. Patientin

For about two weeks I've been constantly tired, even though I sleep normally. On top of that I sometimes get dizzy, especially in the morning when getting up.

The dizziness — is it a feeling as if everything is spinning, or more like blacking out?

  4. Patientin

More like blacking out, but it passes quickly if I sit down briefly.

Have you recently lost weight without intending to? Or exercised more than usual?

  6. Patientin

I haven't lost weight, but I started running training a month ago — three times a week.

And do you eat something beforehand, or do you train on an empty stomach?

  8. Patientin

Mostly on an empty stomach, honestly. In the morning I don't like eating before running.

I suspect low blood pressure, which explains the blackout feeling, combined with too little energy before training. Let's draw blood to be sure nothing else is behind it.

  10. Patientin

Gut. Müsste ich nüchtern dafür kommen?

Good. Would I need to come fasting for that?

For the values I need, not strictly, but fasting would be cleaner. Come the day after tomorrow between eight and nine, then we'll have the results quickly.

  12. Patientin

I will. Should I stop running in the meantime?

No, absolutely not — keep moving by all means, but eat a banana or muesli beforehand. And drink enough; that's just as important with your training plan.

  14. Patientin

Verstanden.

Understood. Thank you for taking so much time.

  15. Ärztin

Gern.

Gladly. And if the dizziness gets worse or you fall, come immediately, without an appointment. Until the day after tomorrow!
