The A2 certificate in full practice format: the same four parts as A1, but longer texts, everyday paperwork, and negotiation in the speaking part.

  • Same four parts as A1: Hören (about 30 min), Lesen (about 30 min), Schreiben (about 30 min), Sprechen (about 15 min).
  • You need 60% overall to pass; the certificate never expires.
  • A2 is the level many German employers accept for apprenticeships and helper jobs.
  • The speaking part has three tasks: introduce yourself, talk about a topic from keywords, and plan an activity together with your partner.
